It’s been quite some time since our last live session, and I sincerely apologize for the extended absence. Over the past month, I've been facing some significant challenges. Unexpectedly, I received an eviction notice from my apartment, which threw me into a whirlwind of stress as I scrambled to find a new place at short notice.
Fortunately, I've managed to secure a new apartment and will be moving in the coming weeks, so I anticipate things will soon return to normal. This period has been particularly challenging as the uncertainty of my living situation made it difficult to plan even a week ahead. I hope you would understand.
Topic of the Upcoming Live Session
The recent article on Groq’s LPU has received massive attention from all of you so I thought why not do a discussion on that. The goal is to understand what makes the LPUs fast. If you’ve read the LPU article and you have questions, or if you prefer watching over reading then you may want to join. Roughly we will talk about:
CPUs, GPUs and what makes them non-deterministic
Architecture of Groq’s Tensor Streaming Processor (TSP)
From TSP to LPU: A massively parallel distributed system
Inner details of LPU: synchronization, software-defined networking, and program execution
Followed by this we will have an Ask Me Anything (AMA) session. You are free to ask me anything — related to any article I’ve written or anything that comes to your mind.
